In order to contain Flooding and Insecurity in the South East particularly Imo State, member representing Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West Federal Constituency in the House of Reps, Hon Chima Kingsley Uju, says he had met with the National Emergency Management Agency and other Concerned Relevant Agencies of Government.
Uju, before becoming a Rep Member, had provided succour to Flood Victims at the Niger Delta region of Imo State to palliatively cushion their serious problems.
Those previous years were witnessed with adverse flood that claimed many lives and ravaged many households with aquatic beings and farm products being destroyed by the scourging flood.
Uju disclosed this while having an audience with members of Niger Delta Media Forum at his residence, Umuorji, Ohaji Egbema, Imo State, on Sunday.
The outspoken Lawmaker who has been effectively representing the people, interfacing with them, said he would always work cordially with relevant agencies to ensure that Flooding and Insecurity are tackled headlong so that safety, peace and good living will always be the hallmark of the people of the South East especially his constituency.
“Few days ago, I went to NEMA and other relevant bodies telling them to come and rescue our people from Flooding and Insecurity. Even as a House Committee Deputy Chairman on Procurement, I have Bills and Motions geared to solve the problems of our society and impact their lives meaningfully. I will not hesitate to work with any individual who has positive ideas to lift our constituency and I shall always speak the mind of my people, of their welfare. Because roads, water, school, electricity, women and youth empowerment will continue to be impacted on so that we forge ahead”, Uju maintained.
While reassuring his people of his sterling effort to ensure they have good living and sound health, Uju urged them to continue to be law- abiding to have better days, debunking rumors against him which bother on financial recklessness at ADAPALM and ISOPADEC, describing the rumors as lies, cheap blackmails peddled by mischievous elements who are bent on tarnishing his good image and reputation, calling on imolites to disregard their rumors, saying he sacrificed hugely to pay salaries of workers of ISOPADEC and will always actively support every good policy of government.
